Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, skilled in food and beverage preparation, and experienced in working in a fast-paced food industry environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring high-quality drinks and food are served promptly. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills in food handling, cashiering, and customer interaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks using standard recipes and equipment.
- Handle food preparation tasks including assembling food items and maintaining cleanliness of workstations.
- Operate the Clover POS system for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, including cleaning equipment and counters regularly.
- Manage cash register operations with accuracy, including cash handling and basic math calculations for transactions.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of food items.
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed.
- Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with the Clover POS system is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Proven ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for cashiering and transaction accuracy.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. This position requires individuals who are dedicated to providing excellent service while maintaining efficiency in all aspects of food and beverage preparation. Pay: $17.20-$27.32 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
