The Role

Are you experienced in coordinating complex ICI construction projects? Do you have the technical know-how and organisational skills to support full-cycle delivery from pre-construction to close-out?

Traugott Building Contractors Inc. is a well-established, Canadian-owned construction management and general contracting firm with over 60 years of experience. We are looking for a Senior Project Coordinator to join our Cambridge head office team, supporting projects across Ontario.

You will support Project Managers and Site Supervisors in delivering mid- to large-scale Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) projects. From pre-construction planning through to project close-out, you will ensure documentation, coordination, and communication run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Construction & Tendering:

  • Prepare bid documentation and trade tender packages
  • Assist with quantity take-offs, drawing reviews, and permit submissions
  • Support scheduling and site logistics planning

Project Administration:

  • Manage RFIs, submittals, drawing logs, and change orders in Procore
  • Issue meeting minutes, transmittals, and instructions
  • Ensure accurate version control of documents

Trade Coordination:

  • Draft subcontract agreements and purchase orders
  • Track shop drawings and material submissions
  • Monitor procurement timelines

Construction Support:

  • Coordinate between teams, consultants, and trades
  • Track quality control and safety documentation
  • Assist with site logistics and inspection readiness

Cost Control:

  • Support budget tracking and change management
  • Prepare monthly billings and progress claims
  • Contribute to risk tracking and forecasting

Close-Out:

  • Compile turnover documentation and as-built drawings
  • Support commissioning and client handover
  • Ensure close-out aligns with contract standards

The Person

  • 5+ years of project coordination experience in the ICI sector
  • Post-secondary education in construction or related field
  • Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and Office Suite
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required
  • Holds a valid driver's licence
  • Committed to high standards in health & safety and quality
