Overview

MetaFactor is hiring a Calgary-based System Integration Analyst preferably with Upstream Oil & Gas and/or Power/Utility industry experience to join our team. This full-time position requires experience working with AVEVA PI, AVEVA System Platform, AspenTech IP.21, Canary Labs, Capstone DataParc, Honeywell PHD, and/or Wonderware Data historians. Experience with SCADA and related systems including Inmation, Ignition, and VT SCADA would also be preferred. The ideal candidate would also have some experience with Azure streaming solutions, Microsoft Power Platform, and SQL/No-SQL database systems. Hands-on training for these systems would be provided for candidates deemed suitable for the role.

Responsibilities

  • Commissioning of plant and corporate historian systems and associated data integrations
  • Designing and implementing software and data analysis solutions that leverage historian data.
  • Using one or more software technologies identified above.
  • Quality assurance/regression testing of software solutions.
  • System architecture design and documentation

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Process Control Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or a related field and at least 2 years relevant experience in upstream Oil and Gas and or power industries. We will only consider and shortlist Alberta-based candidates for interview.

Nice to Have

In addition to utilizing vendor-supplied integration packages, the need will occasionally arise to write custom code for interfacing with these systems. For this reason, working experience with one or more of the following software technologies is preferred:
