We're a busy, locally-owned bakery and sandwich shop in the heart of Kelowna, and we're looking for an experienced cook to join our kitchen team.

We serve a mix of freshly baked goods and made-to-order sandwiches using quality, local ingredients. This role is perfect for someone who's comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen, can stay organized during a lunch rush, and takes pride in putting out consistently great food.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assembling breakfast and lunch items like paninis and egg sandwiches
  • Setting up your prep station and keeping it clean, stocked, and organized throughout your shift
  • Making sure food is prepared safely and to spec every time
  • Helping keep the kitchen tidy—this includes cleaning surfaces, sanitizing tools, and doing some dishes
  • Communicating with the front-of-house team to make sure orders go out accurately and on time
  • Assisting with basic prep like chopping veggies, portioning sauces, or organizing the walk-in
  • Following proper food handling procedures, including FoodSafe and clean kitchen practices
  • Jumping in where needed—we're a small team, and we help each other out

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or food prep role (minimum 1 year)
  • Comfortable using standard kitchen equipment like deli slicers and combi ovens
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to stay calm and focused when it gets busy
  • Solid understanding of kitchen safety, food storage, and sanitation best practices
  • Someone who's reliable, on time, and takes pride in their work
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team
  • FoodSafe Level 1 is a plus (or willingness to get certified)
