Overview

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various HVAC equipment. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and hands-on experience in mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioners, furnaces, and heat pumps.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to heating and cooling systems, utilizing diagnostic tools and schematics.
  • Perform plumbing tasks as needed for HVAC installations or repairs.
  • Collaborate with other trades such as electricians and construction teams to complete projects effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance performed on equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations during all work performed.

Skills

  • Proficient in HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repair with a solid understanding of mechanical knowledge.
  • Experience with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with welding techniques for system repairs or modifications.
  • Knowledge of boiler systems and their operation is an asset.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in appliance repair and general maintenance tasks.
