Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing systems, construction, and maintenance, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various commercial and residential projects. The Journeyperson Plumber will ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes, contributing to the successful completion of projects with precision and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with blueprints and schematics
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine project requirements
  • Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques safely and effectively
  • Perform maintenance tasks on HVAC systems related to plumbing components when necessary
  • Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper assembly and installation of plumbing infrastructure
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and perform troubleshooting as needed
  • Adhere to safety protocols and building codes during all phases of work
  • Assist in the training of apprentices or junior team members when required

Qualifications

  • Valid Journeyperson Plumbing license or certification, gas fitter
  • Proven experience in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance within construction or industrial settings
  • Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in HVAC systems
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during installations or repairs
  • Strong understanding of safety standards related to plumbing work
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
