Now Hiring: On-Site Assistant Construction Manager

Location: Vancouver, BC

Company: Small, locally owned residential construction company

We are a growing construction company specializing in single-family homes and duplex builds throughout Vancouver and Burnaby. We're looking for a hands-on On-Site Construction Manager who brings strong leadership, practical problem-solving skills, and solid carpentry experience to our team.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations for single-family and duplex construction projects
  • Coordinate and supervise trades, subcontractors, and site labour
  • Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
  • Read and interpret construction plans and specifications
  • Maintain project schedules and support budgeting and material planning
  • Perform carpentry tasks as needed and provide hands-on support onsite
  • Communicate regularly with the owner and project stakeholders
  • Keep the site clean and tidy

What We're Looking For

  • Experience managing residential construction sites (single-family or multi-unit experience preferred)
  • Solid understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and residential construction practices
  • Ability to lead crews, coordinate trades, and keep projects on schedule
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
