Mook Fabrics Ltd is a large wholesale/retail fabric supplier servicing and distributing throughout Canada and the US. Mook has operated in Medicine Hat since the 1940's and we are not going anywhere In fact, we recently added a third warehouse This is the perfect opportunity to join our fast-growing LOCAL company Our warehouse is the heart of our operation, ensuring timely and efficient distribution of goods to our clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support daily operations in Warehouse Processing, Shipping, and Retail departments.
  • Pick and prepare stock to fulfill customer orders.
  • Package fabric (bagging, sealing) and prepare pallets/skids for shipment.
  • Perform regular heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs minimum).
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Relocate and organize stock in line with warehouse procedures.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and well organized.
  • Participate in cycle counts and inventory checks.
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand carts (training available).
  • Follow all workplace health and safety guidelines.
  • Carry out other general warehouse duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Comfortable working at heights, including climbing and descending ladders.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to read and interpret orders, invoices, and perform simple math.
  • Ability to keep up in a busy, fast-paced setting.
  • Prior warehouse experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Physically capable of repetitive lifting and manual work.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Effective communicator and strong team player.
