Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction and restoration, demonstrating proficiency in a wide range of skills including blueprint reading, and various maintenance person tasks. This role requires leadership abilities to oversee projects, ensure quality workmanship, and mentor junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage construction and restoration projects from start to finish
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Ensure proper use of hand tools and power tools for various construction activities
- Provide guidance on construction estimating and project planning
- Mentor team members in carpentry, and assembly tasks
- Perform heavy lifting as required during project execution
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to safety protocols
- Physical labour required in all aspects of Deck and Fence building.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction or restoration with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding of construction schematics
- Deck and Fence building amongst other outdoor wood and synthetic structures
- Experience with heavy lifting and operating hand tools and power tools safely
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor others in the field

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.96-$36.88 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
