Inventory Control Senior Supervisor

Shift: Afternoon shift (3PM-11PM)

What you will do:

  • Lead and manage a team of inventory control personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Implement and maintain Warehouse Manhattan System (WMS) systems and procedures to minimize discrepancies and losses.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor warehouse layout and storage strategies to maximize space utilization and accessibility.
  • Implement and enforce strict adherence to food safety and quality standards, including temperature control and product rotation.
  • Analyze root causes of inventory issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Generate accurate and timely reports on inventory performance, including key metrics such as Inventory Code dates, Financials, and System Settings
  • Present findings and recommendations to management to support decision-making.
  • Ensure proper understandings of SOP's for all Inventory Control Colleagues focusing on the Who, What, Where, Why, When
  • Identify opportunities for tasks, reports, and processes, develop creative solutions, and lead feasibility studies to lead impactful change
  • Drive team engagement and performance through a combination of mentorship, regular feedback, and demonstrating a strong work ethic
  • Maintains various databases including outbounds, store returns, damage product (salvage), etc. Ensure all associates follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Actively participates in Health and Safety initiatives including but not limited to the completion of workplace inspections, performing employee safety observations, providing employee safety information sessions and training, conducting incident investigations, correcting substandard acts and or conditions, commending employee health and safety performance and attending in health and safety training.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; scheduling, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; conducting staff meetings; addressing complaints and resolving problems (with the assistance of their manager as appropriate).
  • Other duties as required.

What you will need:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of inventory experience.
  • Job specific training or experience in inventory control.
  • Considerable knowledge of all inventory control duties and responsibilities.
  • Working knowledge with MS Word, Excel, Access applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of office procedures and practices.
  • Considerable ability to gather, collate and classify information about data, people, or things according to established inventory methods.
  • Ability to work Weekends and off shifts as required
