POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for the operation, safety, and productivity of a specified plant, and will report to the General Manager. The successful candidate will be a hard worker with excellent managerial skills as well as time-management skills. The Production Supervisor will be an individual who takes initiative to increase production efficiency.   

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete production plan by scheduling employees, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, and resolving problems to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Align and monitor all KPI's for Regina Facility
  • Be an active player to implement Lean philosophies.
  • Establish and enforce organization standards to maintain quality of products
  • Ensure operation of production equipment by calling for repairs when required
  • Actively participate in the safety processes of the plant including posting safety bulletins, performing monthly safety walks and training, as well as any reporting required
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures
  • Conduct daily meetings with production crew
  • Conduct and lead safety meetings and do safety observations and observe unsafe Acts at the Plant.  
  • Monitor all inventory daily and order supplies and raw material as needed
  • Perform necessary receiving duties for all inbound materials and supplies 
  • Complete all daily assemblies, shippers, and packing slips
  • Ensuring to have safe finished goods inventory levels and ability to lead team with optimum use of machinery, material and resources
  • Maintain staffing needs by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; develop personal growth opportunities for all employees
  • Achieve staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising job results, coaching, counseling, disciplining employees, and enforcing policies and procedures
  • Resolve personnel problems by investigating issues, identifying solutions and recommending action
  • Ensuring that there is no Safety hazard or Unsafe Condition during the shift on Site and if any Hazard available, report to Plant Manager immediately
  • Identify and report equipment and production downtimes and also report any equipment reliability issues immediately to the Plant Manager
  • Timely approve and submit payroll for all hourly union employees
  • Available all time to assist Employees and Customers on emergency basis
  • Unlocking and locking the plant (if required)
  • Disarming and arming the alarm (if required)
  • Other duties as assigned
