THE ROLE:

We're looking for a Digital Print Operator who can provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. This individual will produce print orders using various Digital production printers and attachments and ensure compliance with job specifications and company quality standards and procedures. In addition, this person will also coordinate work load schedules to meet customer deadlines, while achieving optimum productivity.

This role works Monday to Friday on afternoon shift from 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate and maintain various colour and B&W digital print production equipment, primarily to print envelopes
  • Read dockets thoroughly and sign run/quality sheets for all jobs, transfer and process customer files, setup and proof jobs
  • Conduct quality checks – before, during and after jobs are complete, communicate issues to the Lead Hand or Supervisor/Manager
  • Prioritize the workload during your shift based on finishing and delivery expectations
  • Work effectively as a part of a team to achieve optimum quality and meet deadlines, ensuring a fantastic customer service experience
  • Physical movement of product to and from the department
  • Ensure all staff tasks and training schedules are followed
  • Follow OH & S and environmental protocols
  • Ensure RMI inventory is monitored, docket calc match and spoilage is recorded
  • Promote consistent process/procedure continuous improvements

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Thorough knowledge of all print processes, specifically digital, including knowledge of ISO and Quality procedures, with a keen eye for colour accuracy and various colour standards
  • Excellent communication skills to interpret incoming information onto production staff
  • Strong customer service skills, logic and mathematical abilities
  • Proven organizational, time management, and multi-tasking/priority setting skills, with ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with minimal supervision
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
  • Able to work overtime to meet customer demands with little or no notice
