Calgary, Canada PROCESS COLOR PRINT LTD Full time

Process Color Print Ltd. is a leader in the commercial printing industry. The acquisition of Run Digital Inc. in late 2021, made Process Color one of the largest printing companies in Western Canada. We are in immediate need of a full-time Production Assistant to work in our Print and Signage teams.

We are actively seeking an experienced Production Assistant to be cross-trained in all areas of production including:

- Operating large format and digital print presses
- Producing self-adhesive vinyl - operating plotters, weeding and pre-masking
- Operating roll-to-roll laminators
- Assembling dimensional signs and letters

In addition to possessing a solid background in a production environment, applicants should have excellent communication skills. Basic math and computer skills are a must, and any additional graphics experience is a huge plus.

**Responsibilities**
- All aspects of digital print production, coordination of materials, hands-on print production, finishing and quality control
- Operating several large format printers, plotters and/or laminators
- Preparing sign letters and dimensional signage to be installed and/or delivered in accordance with the job specifications
- Reviewing job tickets for specifications and instructions relative to each job being processed
- Transferring and setting up files for printing
- Reviewing orders to understand details and quantities required
- Loading rolls of material into printers, plotters and/or laminators
- Ensuring colour matches when necessary
- Troubleshooting printer & mechanical malfunctions
- Restocking printing & finishing supplies
- Performing preventative maintenance and daily cleaning
- Maintaining a clean area in workspace
- Performing other related duties as assigned

**Work Hours & Benefits**
- Hourly rate commensurate with industry experience
- 2 weeks paid vacation after the first year
- Full company benefits provided after 90 days

**Education and Experience Requirements**
- 2 years’ experience in operating wide format printers and associated equipment for commercial sign company, or comparable production experience
- Ability to multi-task
- Basic Math & Computer Skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a professional team atmosphere

The following would be considered an asset:

- Experience using the following large-format digital printers and equipment: flatbed printer, roll to roll printer, vinyl plotter, laminator, digital cutter and router table
- Knowledge of industry substrates and films

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
