Position Summary: The history of Western art (painting, sculpture, architecture, and decorative art) from the 15th century to the present. Included are the arts of the Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, Romantic, Impressionist, Modern and Contemporary periods. Works of art are examined in terms of the nature of the creative experience, art in the life of the individual and of society, and the influence of changing materials and practices over time. Through different role-playing activities students develop skills in art writing and curatorial interventions (Online Learning only).

This appointment is in accordance with the Contract Teaching Faculty and Part-time Librarians Collective Agreement, for which the Wilfrid Laurier Faculty Association (WLUFA) is the exclusive bargaining agent.
