Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and ensuring that every customer has an enjoyable experience.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
  • Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, including basic math calculations for change.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Assist in food preparation and serving as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
  • Utilize POS systems effectively, including Micros POS, to process orders and manage inventory.
  • Demonstrate strong time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Follow all food handling guidelines to maintain a safe environment for both staff and customers.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous; experience with Micros POS is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing are essential.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling regulations is preferred.
