What You Will Be Doing:- Prepare Financial Reporting including financial statements and other reports for review by Controller and/or Management
- Maintenance & reconciliation of SAGE 300 general ledger & reporting templates
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, risk analysis, and ad hoc reports as required
- Month end reporting and year-end completion including auditing responsibilities
- Prepare monthly working paper and update continuity schedules
- Will be part of Special Projects and process improvements
- Assist Accounts Payable clerk regarding vendor setup and maintenance
- Support Accounts Receivable Billing clerks with policyholder payments & AR reconciliation
- Other duties as required
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Have a Canadian CPA designation and at least 3 years of progressive experience
- Knowledge and experience with IFRS 17 at a P&C insurance company
- Ability to prepare and analyze financial reports
- Experience with general ledger setup, account maintenance and posting journal entries
- Understanding of accounts payable/receivable processes & controls
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and audit request
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience with ACCPAC and/or SAGE would be an asset Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
