We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team at Aman Builders. This role will work closely with the Controller and take on significant responsibilities related to financial reporting, compliance, and oversight of core accounting functions. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all financial processes.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Perform day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports for management decision-making.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during year-end audits and provide necessary documentation.
  • Take ownership of several responsibilities currently managed by the Controller, acting as a key support and backup for critical financial functions.
  • Identify process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Knowledge & Skills Required

Include but are not limited to:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA designation or working toward CPA preferred
  • Minimum 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in construction or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (experience with Sage 300 ERP is an asset).
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Very strong, positive interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with staff and external partners.
  • Highly resourceful with the ability to be extremely effective independently or in a team atmosphere.
  • Exhibits a proactive approach to problem-solving with a strong decision-making capability.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail and sense of urgency.
  • Ability to improvise and work in a high pressure and fast paced environment.

  • Compliance: Adhere strictly to GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the Controller and other departments to support business goals.
  • Initiative: Proactively identify and implement process improvements.
  • Confidentiality: Handle sensitive financial information with the highest level of integrity.

Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
