Technical Support Specialist

Wiz-Tec is a Canadian technology company specializing in electronic business solutions, with customers coast to coast across Canada. We are Canada's largest provider for First Nations Tax Exemption solutions with multiple government contracts. We also specialize in Point-Of-Sale (POS) and payment solutions for gas retail. Wiz-Tec's relies on providing powerful and highly reliable solutions and maintaining long lasting relationships with our customers.
We are looking for motivated individuals with strong technical support and customer service skills for our installation and service team. This position's includes technical service and support out of our Calgary office as well as travel and installation at our customer sites across Canada.
Responsibilities
- Installation, distribution, training, and maintenance of Wiz-Tec software packages
- Phone based and remote technical service and support
- 2nd level technical support including problem determination, troubleshooting, resolution, documentation, and escalation as required
- Setup, wiring, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Wiz-Tec software, hardware, and peripherals
- Tracking, updating, and maintaining client software assets
- Integration and quality assurance testing of software packages and build images
- Reporting to and tasks as assigned by the Service Manager
Qualifications/Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- A+, Network+ certifications or equivalent preferred
- Minimum one (1) year of work experience in software, installation, support, or customer service related to software or technology
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Extensive experience with a wide range of desktop software applications and desktop and server hardware
- Experience and high-proficiency skills and knowledge with Windows operating systems (Windows XP/7/8/10), Microsoft Windows Installer, Microsoft Office applications, and IT security best practices
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Attention to detail and organized work habits
- A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
This position is a full-time position based out of our Calgary Offices, but you will and should expect to travel. Paid training is provided. Please submit a cover letter alongside your resume.

Pay: $44,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
