Overview

Cioffi's Cucina is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front of House Assistant to join our team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they receive exceptional service and a warm welcome.

The ideal candidate has experience in the food industry, hospitality, or customer service, and enjoys working in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will help maintain the high standards that Cioffi's Cucina is known for.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with food selection.
  • Support servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth, efficient service.
  • Assist with food preparation and presentation while following food safety standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area and service stations.
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and catering teams to ensure timely, high-quality service.
  • Participate in banquet setups, catering events, and off-site catering operations as needed.
  • Help management with catering marketing initiatives and promotional materials.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
  • Prepare and serve coffee and beverages as required.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, deli, or food service environment preferred.
  • Culinary or food-handling experience is an asset.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of hospitality standards and guest service practices.
  • Experience in banquet service or catering is an advantage.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask under pressure.
  • Friendly, professional, and reliable demeanor.
  • Knowledge of coffee preparation (espresso, cappuccino, etc.) preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
