Responsibilities:

  • Deliver product to destination in a safe manner.
  • Complete circle checks of vehicles daily before driving and complete daily logs as required
  • Loading & unloading of trucks and ensure properly loaded and unloaded.
  • Operating the company vehicle and assisting in local deliveries.
  • Responsible for checking of all incoming stock against packing slips, ensuring the accuracy of all material coming in.
  • Maintain Shipping & Receiving area ensuring the area remains neat, organized & safe.
  • Responsible for preparing shipments to customers and inspecting contents of delivery for quantities, description, proper goods.
  • Maintain Shipping log & Shipping & Receiving records.
  • Oversee and schedule workload of driver.
  • Fill packing slips in order, taking into consideration priority shipments and delivery times.
  • Place shipments in appropriate staging area
  • Warehouse parts as required.
  • Responsible for control of quarantined (non-conforming) material
  • Daily inspections and sign offs of lift trucks and cranes to ensure safe operations are maintained.
  • Execute responsibilities as per company policy procedure or work instruction where applicable.
  • Sweep all areas of shop.
  • Ensure shop floor garbage is emptied daily and shop floor bathrooms are stocked with supplies as needed.
  • Disposal of steel chips collected from machine areas in steel bins outside designated for steel chips.
  • When production jobs are running support material handling of production material and finished parts.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid DZ license
  • Full G Class license required
  • Clean driver's abstract
  • Grade 12 diploma
  • Lift Truck license
  • Overhead Crane Qualified
  • Experience in a warehouse environment, shipping/receiving, driving, etc.
  • Team-player and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational and housekeeping skill.
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to interact effectively and appropriately with other Leaders, Managers, employees.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change and delays.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
