Delivery Director - SaaS Platform

We're hiring a Delivery Director to lead project execution and oversee software delivery for a SaaS platform used across the energy industry. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring high-quality delivery, effective engineering execution, and smooth coordination across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams.

You'll join a fast-moving environment where clarity, structure, and operational discipline are essential. As the delivery leader, you'll manage concurrent software projects, mentor team members, and improve processes that support scalable growth.

What You'll Do

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple software projects, ensuring they meet scope, schedule, and budget expectations
  • Oversee software development teams and promote a culture of accountability and collaboration
  • Build and maintain detailed project plans, including scheduling, task assignment, progress tracking, and risk management
  • Partner with product, engineering, and leadership to align on goals, priorities, and timelines
  • Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes clearly to internal and external stakeholders
  • Work directly with customers during onboarding and implementation to ensure a smooth delivery experience
  • Manage resource capacity across concurrent initiatives and maintain awareness of team workload
  • Mentor the project manager and support development of stronger process discipline, structure, and reporting
  • Refine delivery processes and introduce improvements that enhance consistency, quality, and efficiency
  • Use project metrics and best practices to drive performance and operational improvement
  • Contribute to scaling the delivery function as the company grows, including future leadership responsibilities

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in software delivery or project management within a SaaS or tech-driven environment
  • Experience managing software development teams and guiding end-to-end delivery
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and modern software delivery processes
  • Clear, confident communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to identify risks, challenge assumptions, and validate engineering estimates with sufficient technical depth
  • Strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach to planning and reporting
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Slack)
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience

Bonus Points

  • Experience in a startup or scale-up environment
  • Background with SaaS platforms or cloud-based systems
  • PMP, CSM, or other relevant project management certifications
