Role Description

This is a full-time role for Occupational Therapist located in Niagara Region, Ontario Canada. Occupational Therapist will be responsible for helping individuals regain, develop, or maintain the skills needed for daily living and working. They assess clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities and create personalized treatment plans to improve independence, safety, and quality of life

Qualifications

  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)
  • Must have at least one of the following certifications: Certified Ergonomist (CCPE/CPE/BCPE), Associate Ergonomist (AE), or regulated health provider trained in ergonomics (PT, OT, RN, R, Kin)
  • Professional liability insurance.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (community visits).
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in homecare, ergonomics, or seniors' care preferred.
  • Knowledge of Ontario employment laws and regulations, including healthcare compliance standards.
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario's healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse clients, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct home safety, ergonomic, and functional assessments for seniors and individuals in the community
  • Recommend mobility aids, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications
  • Develop care and activity plans to support independence and safety at home
  • Provide education and training to clients, caregivers, and PSW staff
  • Prepare clear and professional assessment reports and recommendations
  • Collaborate with internal teams and community partners to support client needs

Compensation $ Structure

  • Contract or part-time position
  • Hourly Rate: $60–$75/hour (based on experience)
  • OR Per Assessment: $175–$300 (depending on type)
  • Eligible for benefits after 3 months
  • Performance bonus opportunities
