Tomlinson is seeking to fill an immediate requirement for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic based out of our Heavy Equipment Division. This position is full-time permanent position.
 
Location: 5151 Albion Road, Ottawa, ON
Vacancy Type: Replacement
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various types and brands of heavy equipment. 
  • Utilize computerized and other testing equipment to determine repairs and create detailed service reports. 
  • Contribute to the ongoing reliability of all heavy equipment and ensure compliance with preventitve maintenance requirements. 
  • Test repaired equipment to verify proper maintenance. 
  • Preparation of accurate written repair order sheets and reports
  • Interpretation of service manuals, schematics, lube charts, repair orders, etc.

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Overtime as required
  • Work successfully and efficiently with minimal supervision

EXPERIENCE
  • At least 4 years' experience,  ideally with mechanic's license
  • Experience with diesel engine equipment and some experience with gasoline engine experience, specifically Caterpillar & John Deer.
  • Safety training and experience is an asset
 

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

The expected salary range for this position is $ $45.00 per hour.  Placement within the range is dependant on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.
