Company Overview

Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier is a unique, boutique property that is looking for a hands-on Director of Operations. A successful candidate will enjoy our fast pace environment and be multi-faceted, with a principal objectives of professional service, efficient operations & revenue generation for the property.

The Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier is a full service hotel featuring 100+ guestrooms, 8000 sq. ft. of meeting space, 200 seat restaurant, indoor pool, and fitness center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel with a strong focus on efficient service standards
  • Consistent focus on revenue generation and achieving sales targets for guest room as well as catering and events.
  • Forecast revenue and identify sales performance gaps, and implement measures to correct those deficiencies.
  • Participation in sales activities working with the Sales Team.
  • Monitor and develop team member performance, particularly managers, to include, but not limited to, supervision, professional development, scheduling, and evaluations.
  • Strategic development of marketing and promotional initiatives for achieving restaurant, catering and rooms sales growth objectives
  • Assist with recruitment, selection, and development of front-line staff in conjunction with department managers.
  • Identify service quality, operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, standards compliance and service.
  • Ensure Food, Beverage, and labour costs are kept within budget, by minimizing waste and maximizing opportunities.
  • Other duties as required

Minimum Qualification and Skills:

  • Minimum 4 years experience in a Hotel Management position including Food & Beverage and Rooms division in a reputable property. Brand experience preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years in a Sales and Marketing role in a full service hotel.
  • A Bachelor degree in hospitality management is a strong asset
  • Knowledge of group, leisure and corporate marketplace
  • Demonstrated proficiency of developing and implementing sales and promotional initiatives
  • Excellent knowledge of all aspects of Food and Beverage and Rooms Division Operations
  • Outstanding attention to detail, and a Proven track record as a successful sales professional
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
