Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Office Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of dental and medical administrative procedures, and a commitment to providing outstanding patient service. This role involves managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and maintaining accurate medical records.

Spoken Punjabi required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming environment for all visitors.
  • Manage appointment scheduling using dental practice management software
  • Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare and Medicaid, to facilitate accurate billing and claims processing.
  • Handle patient intake processes, including collecting demographic information, updating medical histories, and explaining office policies.
  • Maintain accurate and organized medical records in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Assist with billing procedures by reviewing documentation for accuracy, coding procedures with CPT and ICD codes, and processing payments.
  • Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette while managing appointment confirmations and patient inquiries.
  • Support medical administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, documentation review, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to coordinate care plans and ensure seamless communication between patients and providers.
  • Utilize computer skills to operate office equipment efficiently, including typing at 10-key speed and managing Microsoft Office applications.

Experience

  • Prior experience working in a dental clinic or medical office environment is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of medical billing procedures, insurance verification processes, and coding systems including CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 is essential.
  • Familiarity with health information management practices and documentation review is required to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Strong customer service skills combined with excellent phone etiquette are necessary to foster positive patient relationships.
  • Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse patient populations effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$32.73 per hour
