About Us

Green Works Contracting is a multi-service landscaping and design company serving the Nation's Capital. We are currently seeking an experienced Truck & Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic (310T preferred) to join our growing and dedicated team.

Scope of Work

  • Perform repair and maintenance on:
  • Heavy equipment (loaders, backhoes, excavators, skid steers)
  • Trailers
  • Medium and heavy-duty trucks (½ ton, ¾ ton, 5-ton, tandem and tri-axle dump trucks)
  • Conduct diagnostic testing and troubleshooting
  • Complete heavy equipment repairs and maintenance of varying complexity
  • Perform routine inspections and identify potential issues or malfunctions
  • Complete all required paperwork and maintenance documentation
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency and processes

Requirements

  • 310T certification (preferred)
  • Ability to weld and perform metal fabrication (preferred)
  • Minimum 3–5 years of related experience
  • Proven experience as an automotive or truck mechanic
  • Experience with electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Valid Class G driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment (preferred)
  • DZ or AZ license considered an asset (not required)

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • Day shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Overnight positions also available
  • Full-time, year-round employment
