Responsibilities:

  • Communication: Write and edit all content for both internal and external stakeholder communications. Provide a consistent tone and language for all written materials and corporate projects. Leverage the internal intranet to ensure employee awareness, understanding and participation in employee initiatives. Assist and collaborate with all departments and committees on internal communications and programming.
  • Event Management: Lead, manage and coordinate the planning and execution of corporate events. Coordinate the research and negotiation of services required from all event suppliers (vendor management and event logistics). Keep organized with a keen eye for the details.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Provide a consistent tone and language for all written materials and corporate projects. Execute recognition programs, campaigns and initiatives to improve the Boardwalk employee experience and drive internal engagement.
  • Copywriting: Support the Regional marketing team with the writing and editing of advertising content. Help put together documentation and presentations for employee awareness and promotion.
  • Social Media: Assist with the planning and coordinating of Boardwalk's monthly social media calendar and support the Regional Coordinators and digital marketing team with social initiatives.
  • Administration: Research and coordinate the purchase of employee swag on an as-needed basis. Miscellaneous assignments on an as-needed basis, such as assisting with award submissions, project summaries or surveys.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • Undergraduate Degree or Diploma in Communications or related field
  • Minimum 2-3 years of recent relevant experience

Technical Requirements:

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent creative writing and editing skills

Non-Technical Requirements:

  • Strong passion and motivation for all facets of marketing and communications.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks while remaining flexible.
  • Accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfortable representing the company at events and in public settings.
