Responsibilities
  1. Provide support to project management office, engineering, operations and operations support service functions in the effective provision of forecasting, coordinating, scheduling and monitoring PMO capital projects and related activities. Collaborate with others in the effective coordination of short and long term planning and scheduling activities.

  2. Utilize designated scheduling system to develop and implement a series of master schedules to cover all work on a 20 year, 5 year, 1 year and monthly timeframe. Maintain schedules, rebalance resource/work requirements, anticipate peaks and emergencies and make plans for contingencies from both an equipment and resource perspective.  

  3. Plan, organize and deliver critical path schedules for projects and project proposals based on project milestones. Attend to scheduling requests, changes and revisions to project plans; determine priorities, investigate and identify gaps and impacts to resources and costs and compile pertinent information for further action and decisions by others.

  4. Prepare workload reports; determine project health and critical path schedules, evaluate team metrics. Prepare and present project planning and scheduling status reports to management and recommend corrective actions. 

  5. Monitor and be accountable for the scheduling control system. Participate in quality improvement initiatives for the scheduling process in concert with stakeholders.

  6. Perform duties of a minor nature related to the above duties, which do not affect the rating of the job.

Requirements
  1. Completion of recognized post-secondary Business Diploma/Technical Diploma or equivalent in a related and applicable discipline
  2. Two to Four years experience in resourcing and/or project management services
  3. Knowledge of resourcing and /or project management services and processes
  4. Sound working knowledge of MS Office
  5. Proficiency with Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling project software
  6. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  7. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize work
  8. Ability to analyze information and solve problems
  9. Ability to work within demanding work schedules
  10. Valid BC Driver's License
