We're looking for an
IT Systems Administrator
who thrives in fast-paced, mission-critical environments and enjoys supporting both people
and
platforms.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Be the
    go-to IT expert
    for SpaceOps staff—providing L1 & L2 support across servers, storage, hypervisors, operating systems, and XaaS environments.
  • Diagnose issues, set priorities, and take decisive action to keep business operations running without disruption.
  • Partner on IT projects—helping define technical needs, strategy, benefits, and implementation plans.
  • Maintain and enhance:
  • Windows & Linux server infrastructure
  • Windows, Apple, and application systems supporting Asset Management
  • Develop and maintain system installation, configuration, and operational procedures.
  • Research and recommend
    innovative and automated
    approaches to system administration that scale efficiently.
  • Collaborate closely with other IT teams to ensure infrastructure is
    scalable, flexible, secure, and future-ready
    .
  • Lead hardware and software failure recovery, including stakeholder communication and resolution.
  • Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.

What You Bring

Technical Expertise

  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Windows, Linux, Apple environments
  • Hypervisors, SANs, XaaS, TCP/IP, DHCP, RADIUS
  • Backup solutions, endpoint protection, SIEM & cybersecurity best practices
  • Experience working in
    high-availability environments
    (24x7x365, 99.99% uptime).
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure security, compliance, and data protection.

Cloud & Automation

  • Experience with virtual and cloud environments:
  • Hyper-V, VMware, Azure, AWS, GCP
  • Scripting skills using PowerShell, Bash, JSON, and/or Python.
  • Experience with migrations and upgrades (datacenters, servers, clusters, storage, cloud).

Process & Compliance

  • Familiarity with IT project management principles and SLAs.
  • Experience with PCI-DSS, SOC 2 Type II, NIST, and ISO preferred).
  • Working knowledge of data management and privacy regulations.

People Skills

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable providing guidance and technical advice to staff and managers.

Qualifications

  • University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant IT infrastructure experience.
  • Industry certifications are a strong asset:
  • Microsoft, VMware, Linux
  • ITIL v4 Foundation
  • PMI (knowledge of)
