Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and creative Cake Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cake design, food presentation, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves preparing, decorating, and packaging cakes for various occasions, ensuring each product meets high-quality standards. The Cake Decorator will be creating unforgettable cakes for weddings and birthdays, as well as helping to make baked goods for charcuterie boards. While contributing to the overall customer experience and maintaining food safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Decorate cakes and baked goods according to customer specifications and design templates
  • Prepare cakes, frosting, and other bakery items with precision and attention to detail
  • Ensure all products are visually appealing and meet quality standards before presentation
  • Handle food preparation tasks including mixing, baking, and assembling cakes
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the decorating station and work area in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Package finished products securely for delivery or customer pickup
  • Assist customers with product selections and answer questions about cake designs and ingredients
  • Follow all food handling and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Experience

  • Proven experience in cake decorating or pastry arts is preferred
  • Background in restaurant or bakery environments is advantageous
  • Knowledge of food preparation, baking techniques, and kitchen safety protocols is essential
  • Familiarity with food industry standards for hygiene and food handling practices
  • Experience with food presentation, piping techniques, fondant work, and creative design is highly desirable
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members

Job Type: Casual
