Duties

  • Prepare doughs, batters, and fillings for baked goods.
  • Operate bakery equipment including mixers, ovens, proofers, and decorating tools safely and efficiently
  • Decorate cakes and pastries using various techniques like icing, and piping to meet quality standards
  • Package baked items carefully to maintain freshness and presentation for retail display or catering orders
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Monitor baking times and oven temperatures to ensure consistent product quality
  • Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of supplies needed

Skills

  • Cake decorating experience
  • Strong food handling knowledge adhering to food safety standards
  • Experience in food production, preparation, and baking within a commercial kitchen or bakery environment
  • Proficiency in culinary techniques including pastry work, cooking methods, and knife skills
  • Ability to operate bakery machinery such as mixers, ovens, and proofers confidently
  • Excellent customer service skills when interacting with team members or during product presentation
  • Knowledge of packaging processes to ensure products are well-presented and preserved during storage or delivery
  • Prior experience in the food industry or restaurant setting preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is valued

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
