To Live For Bakery & Cafe is looking for an experienced senior cake decorator to add to their talented and passionate team This is a Tuesday to Saturday position from 7am-3:30pm. Days and times may be flexible for the right applicant.

What You'll Do:

  • Decorate both standard menu cakes and custom cakes to match TLF's signature aesthetic and quality. You can view examples of the style of cakes we offer on our instagram
  • We work primarily with buttercream (with some fondant accents) and pride ourselves in creating clean, smooth finishes with sharp edges.
  • Apply various cake decorating techniques including vintage/Lambeth piping, palette knife florals, buttercream illustrations, ombre
  • Must be comfortable writing on cakes
  • Prepare fillings and flavoured buttercreams (occasional baking during busy periods).
  • Collaborate with the manager to ensure efficient production and workflow.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station.
  • Meet daily production quotas while upholding high quality standards. In busy weeks we are making upwards of 150 cakes.

What We're Looking For:

  • At least 2 years of experience in cake decorating (professional or self-taught) is essential.
  • Proven ability to work quickly, neatly, and accurately in a high-volume environment.
  • Proficiency with kitchen equipment and tools used in cake decorating.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow specific designs and instructions.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
  • Basic food handling and safety knowledge.
  • Clear and respectful communication skills.
