Summary of Position

At SUNRISE KITCHENS, our people are our greatest assets. We require an individual to join our excellent team in our state-of-the-art facility as a Cabinet Preparation. You will be apart of a team to help ensure day to day productivity is maintained and operations are uninterrupted. You will work with the Prep and Assembly team to ensure that cabinet parts are ready to be assembled. Job entails scanning and organizing the cabinet parts as per the work orders and ensuring that the products meet our quality standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Label and Sorting

  2. Sorting the cabinet parts according to their dimensions, colour and other properties

  3. Organizing and ensuring that all the cabinet parts for a work order are ready for assembly.
  4. Placing the correct label on parts and scanning with a handheld barcode scanner after the cabinet is prepared

  5. Operating dowel drilling machines

  6. Safely operating dowel drilling machines to drill and attach dowels onto pieces.

  7. Set up machine for correct drilling position
  8. Load machine with dowel and glue

  9. Installing hardware

  10. Installing hinges and track rails onto panels in a correct position

  11. Grouping parts

  12. Grouping correct parts to form a cabinet according to instruction documents and transfer them to the assembly station

Employment Requirements

  • Graduation from high school
  • Works well under stress.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Managing work order flow on a priority basis
  • Must be able to read the measuring tape and layouts
  • Basic computer knowledge required
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs
  • Proficient in English communication both written and verbal

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum one year of experience required in the millwork industry or a certificate or relevant program in machine services and wooden work
  • Communicating and cooperating with supervisors and coworkers
  • Positive attitude, courteous manner, personality, and flexibility
  • Strong communication, problem solving, troubleshooting and organizational skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $18.50 per hour
