BAS Installer II (4–5 Years Experience + Leadership)

Role: Building Automation Systems (BAS) Installer II

Company: Voyager Buildings – Toronto, ON

Voyager Buildings is seeking an experienced BAS Installer II with 4–5 years of field installation experience and proven ability to oversee work, coordinate teams, and support project delivery.

About the Role

As a BAS Installer II, you will lead field installation activities, collaborate with contractors, review drawings, assist with designs, and support junior installers. This position requires solid knowledge of BAS wiring, control systems, and field integration.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform hands-on installations of BAS systems across project sites.
  • Review BAS drawings, mechanical plans, and specifications for accuracy and alignment.
  • Coordinate with contractors and internal teams to ensure proper installation practices.
  • Provide guidance, training, and oversight to Installer I and field staff.
  • Troubleshoot wiring, devices, networks, and controls.
  • Prepare material lists, installation schedules, and daily work plans.
  • Assist project managers with timelines, resourcing, and field documentation.
  • Ensure QA/QC standards and high-quality delivery on all installations.
  • Support design and wiring layout as required.

Qualifications

  • 4–5 years of hands-on BAS installation experience (mandatory).
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC controls, and control wiring.
  • College Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Automation (preferred).
  • Electrical license or journeyman experience is a strong asset.
  • Experience supervising or training junior staff.
  • Valid G driver's license with clean record (required).
  • Strong troubleshooting ability for field-related issues.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage timelines, field staff, and installation quality.
  • Proficiency in interpreting BAS drawings, schedules, and wiring diagrams.
  • Good computer skills (Excel, Word, email).
  • Highly organized, self-driven, and capable of working independently.

Shift & Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, GTA-based field work.
  • Occasional overtime or weekend work depending on project needs.

Compensation

  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Significant room for growth into Lead Installer, Technician, or Project Supervisor roles.
