Over the past decade, MHICA has built more than aircraft components, it has built a recognized worldwide reputation for capacity, precision, on-time delivery and excellence. MHICA has two state-of-the-art facilities combined to 476,000 sq. ft. This comprises of Manufacturing & Assembly, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain, where highly-skilled employees are working on Bombardier's sector-leading Global 5000/6000 and Challenger 350 business aircraft. MHICA's technicians build and join wing assemblies and fuselage sections, as well as perform systems and flight control assembly installations and testing.

**Scope of Position**
- Reporting to the Supervisor - Production, the Aircraft Repair II leads and participates in Aircraft Repair and On-the-Job Training (OJT) for new MHICA employees, and employees new to existing work areas.
- Providing cross shift/department training to new hires and employees new to existing work areas (including, but not limited to) the following;
- Be involved in Aircraft Repair processes and procedures.
- Bunkai-sho.
- PIR book and stamp.
- Clocking, APC, PDA.
- Providing weekly progression reports.
- Motivating and mentoring new personnel.
- Working with in-house training school for continuous improvement and development.
- Assisting in developing in-house OJT training programs.
- Maintaining and reviewing Cross Training Matrix.
- Leading continuous process improvements through Kaizen initiatives.
- Ability to accomplish duties required effectively and efficiently.
- Effective team leadership, coaching, mentoring and communication skills.
- Must have flexibility to work rotating shifts to accommodate production schedule, including days, afternoons, nights and overtime as required.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times on the plant floor (i.e. safety glasses, safety shoes and ear plugs) and follow all Health & Safety procedures at all times.
- Must be able to pass a Pulmonary Fit Test (PFT) for proper fitting of respirators as needed to perform the job safely, especially in work areas that may have exposure to chemicals or odors from paints, solvents etc. To ensure proper fitting of respirators all employees using respirators must be clean shaven at all times as per the Canadian Standard Association (CSA) requirements.
- Must be physically fit, energetic, agile, willing and able to:

- work in restricted spaces (tanks)
- work at heights (3rd floor of jigs)
- work rotating shifts when and as required
- bend, twist, walk on uneven surfaces and climb stairs repeatedly during shift
- perform heavy lifting (up to 40 lbs) as needed to perform the job
- stand for 7 hours of an 8 hour shift

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Very experienced with hand tools/ power tools for drilling, countersinking, torquing, installing (fasteners, hi-lites).
- Very experienced to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings (2D and 3D). Sub-assemblies, sheet metal assembly, mechanical assembly, etc.
- Able to maintain professionalism.
- Strong knowledge of the build process and the production cycle.
- Demonstrate organization and planning skills.
- Availability to work shifts and overtime as needed to support production line.
- Effective team leadership, coaching, mentoring and communication skills.

**Experience**

**Education and Certifications**
- A diploma in Aircraft Maintenance or similar.
- Certified in 6 of the following certifications (Cold Working Holes; Saturation Shot Peening; Installation of IFB; Repair of Surface Scratches); Qualified in construction and set up of jigs and fixtures; CAD plating.
