Job Summary

Digger's Café is looking for Digger Technicians who want to turn their hobby into a rewarding, public-facing role. This position blends RC vehicle operation, light technical maintenance, and customer experience, all in a fun, family-friendly environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist and supervise 10-20 digger drivers during any given hour
  • Help customers safely and confidently operate slow moving RC diggers and crawlers
  • Monitor bookings and prepare equipment for upcoming scheduled sessions
  • Provide clear instructions and friendly guidance to guests of all ages
  • Perform minor RC maintenance including: battery changes and charging, basic troubleshooting, and maintaining sandbox creases cleanliness and overall organization
  • Support other staff members when time permits
  • Perform FOH and behind the counter duties in the café area when time permits
  • Work collaboratively with owners and staff, who will be available for guidance and support

Qualifications and Skills

  • Interest or experience with remote-control vehicles (technical knowledge is an asset)
  • Friendly, patient, and approachable demeanour
  • Strong people skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable managing multiple guests and activities at once
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, customer focused environment
  • Willingness to learn and follow operation procedures
  • Physically able to continuously travel up and down stairs and lift up to 50lbs
