Markdom International has a proven history of producing world-class custom injection-molded products for the automotive and consumer goods industries. We have the capability to produce an extensive variety of products with our state-of-the-art in-house injection mold design and build capabilities, coupled with the latest injection molding process technologies.

Markdom is looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as
Accountant
to Co-ordinate all accounting activities including Long-term projects, Sales, AR, AP, Government Programs, etc.

Report to the Controller.

Duties:

  • Implementation and maintenance of CMS "Price list" module, including conversion of data from source documents (contracts).
  • Automated & manual Sales invoices distribution using CMS.
  • Accounting for long-term projects (tooling) within different MI legal entities: expenses accumulation on the MI legal entities using the CMS "Projects" module.
  • Accounting for settlement with vendors using the AI-embedded CMS "AP" module.
  • Communication with customers & vendors on settlement issues.
  • Accounting for intercompany settlements.
  • Maintain construction in progress & fixed asset schedules.
  • Provide credit information to customers and suppliers as required.
  • Ensure Regulators (CRA, Government Agency, etc.) invoices are paid in accordance with established procedures and terms.
  • Process and administer all government & utility companies' programs documentation / Websites.
  • Participating in the budgeting & forecasting process as required.
  • Support interim & year-end procedures by producing working papers, analyses and reports for external auditors.
  • Assist in administrative areas as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline or an accounting designation.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Practical accounting experience within the automotive industry (manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Experience working with CMS or similar ERP systems..
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and solid general computer skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational ability, and attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting or participating in audits is an asset.
  • Proven ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong accuracy in reporting, reconciliation, and documentation.
  • A CPA designation (completed or in progress) will be an asset
