The Opportunity
We are looking to hire an Accounting Intern (Jan - Dec) for one of our Scarborough locations.
Shift :
9AM - 5PM.

What You'll Do
Reporting to the Financial Account – Finance Group, this position is responsible for assisting the general accounting to process and assist in accounting matters .

  • Support the Divisional Accountant with all aspects of General Ledger activities within a large, diversified, multi-divisional manufacturing company.
  • Provide day-to-day assistance to the Divisional Accounting team.
  • Analyze accounts to support G/L transactions, explain variances, and perform account reconciliations.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports for Senior Management.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and collaborative discussions.
  • Contribute to the implementation and ongoing optimization of the ERP system.
  • Perform other ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Valid driver's license in good standing (proof required).
  • Enrolled in or completion of a CPA program.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent English communication, and advanced computer proficiency (must be an advanced Excel user).
  • Highly numerate, with strong logical and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of working under pressure while maintaining accuracy with high volumes of work.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to develop strong business and accounting skills.
  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of BI tools and SharePoint is an asset.
