You will be responsible for designing robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions that align with the business objectives of a leading global reinsurance and primary insurance group. Your work will support major projects, strategic initiatives such as data center migrations, and the ongoing standardization and harmonization of our cloud environments. By establishing and enforcing architectural guardrails, you will ensure that our use of cloud services is optimized for performance, cost, and governance, enabling the organization to reduce complexity and risk while accelerating innovation.
Your Role:

- Design, document, and maintain cloud architecture blueprints for AWS and Azure, ensuring alignment with business and IT strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including application owners, security, infrastructure, and operations—to ensure cloud solutions are fit-for-purpose and meet governance requirements.
- Evaluate and recommend cloud services, tools, and practices that best support the organization's strategic goals.
- Lead technical reviews and provide architectural oversight for key cloud projects and initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for automation, cost optimization, and performance improvement in cloud environments.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in cloud architecture and governance.
- Mentor and train internal teams on cloud architecture concepts, standards, and best practices
Your Profile:
- 7+ years of experience as a Technical Architect.
- 5+ years in Cloud Architecture Expertise: Deep knowledge of AWS (required) and Azure (preferred), including core services, networking, security, and cost management.
- Governance & Standardization: Experience establishing cloud governance frameworks, standards, and guardrails in large, complex organizations.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to align technical solutions with business objectives and long-term strategy.
- Project Leadership: Proven ability to support and guide cloud transformation projects and cross-functional initiatives.
- Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with global teams and stakeholders at all levels.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Problem Solving: Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving architectural challenges.
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying up to date with evolving cloud technologies, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Insurance Industry Experience (desirable): Understanding of regulatory and security considerations relevant to the insurance sector.
