About New Tides
New Tides Counselling & Wellness is a medium-sized counselling practice in Kitsilano, Vancouver. Our work is focused on long-term, attachment-focused, embodied, and counselling that is trauma informed and neurodivergent affirming, with a holistic approach that honours body, mind, heart, spirit, and community.
We offer individual and relationship counselling, EMDR, as well as services such as yoga, expressive arts and community oriented events and workshops. We are a values-driven team committed to depth, sustainability, and thoughtful care — for both clients and clinicians.
New Tides operates out of a 10 unit space, including a studio/group space, with a thriving rental community residing in a portion of our offices.
We are so excited to have space on our team for a full time Clinic Manager who shares our values.
This role is perfect for someone eager to support the day-to-day operations of our clinic while maintaining a clinical caseload of 10–12 clients per week. We are looking for a unique individual to work with and support our wonderful, compassionate team. If you have a love of heart focused, embodied clinical work with a background in management, spreadsheets and systems (and potentially previous experience or an interest in marketing experience), then we would LOVE to hear from you.
This position blends the best of left and right brained work. Perhaps you've been a boss or even a business owner before but aren't wanting to shoulder the ongoing the risk, or juggle ALL the plates – OR perhaps you have a background in project / team management and are LOVING your clinical work but are looking to balance it in efforts to combat clinical burnout while still making a livable wage. Whatever your unique experience brings, we would be very interested in why this role might be the right next step for you.
This is a hybrid role, combining:
· Up to 20 hours per week of clinic management and operations
· Approximately 10–12 weekly clinical sessions as a Registered Clinical Counsellor
The Clinic Manager works closely with the Clinical Director, and involves overseeing our admin team and client care, while identifying operational issues, improving systems, and bringing forward recommendations to the Clinical Director and Clinical Coordinator. Creative planning, business strategies, financial decision-making, and the majority of clinical leadership remain with the Clinical Director, typically in consultation with the Clinical Coordinator.
This position is well-suited to someone who enjoys leadership and management, systems building and maintenance as well as the ability to notice roadblocks or issues while staying clinically and ethically grounded.
3-month probation period based on hourly pay
Rate: Average of $90-100/ hour clinical work and $30–$40/hour managerial work, depending on experience
Potential to transition to employed position following probation:
Salary range: $60,000–$80,000 annually
Benefits and vacation pay included
· Flexible Work Options including the option to work from home and flexible hours throughout the day
