Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to oversee the daily operations of our service department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in transport trailer/truck repair, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing service staff, ensuring efficient workflow, and enhancing customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the service department team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, workflow management, and resource allocation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Upsell services and products to customers based on their needs and vehicle condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with mechanics to diagnose vehicle issues and recommend appropriate repairs.
  • Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies; place orders as necessary.
  • Train and mentor staff on best practices in customer service and automotive repair.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within an transport trailer/truck repair environment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience as a mechanic preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Experience in upselling services or products effectively.
  • Proficient in cash handling procedures and financial transactions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A passion for the automotive industry and commitment to continuous improvement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
