Our client in the insurance sector is seeking a contract based Test Environment Analyst responsible for setup, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of enterprise test environments.

The ideal candidate will lead environment refreshes, deployments, and patching activities, manage environment dependencies, and support continuous delivery by ensuring environments are properly configured, available, and aligned with best practices.

Location: Hybrid Toronto

Duration: 6 months to start

Key Responsibilities

Test Environment Management

  • Lead test environment setup, maintenance, refreshes, and decommissioning activities.
  • Troubleshoot environment issues, conflicts, and collisions across teams.
  • Monitor environment health, performance, availability, and capacity.
  • Establish and maintain environment metrics and reporting.

Coordination & Governance

  • Coordinate environment booking, scheduling, and usage across delivery teams.
  • Coordinate and support application deployments across test environments.
  • Ensure adherence to environment management standards, processes, and controls.
  • Maintain dependency visualization and environment documentation.

Technical & Platform Support

  • Support environment modeling and lifecycle planning.
  • Assist with infrastructure and platform management across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments.
  • Monitor application version control and configuration alignment across environments.
  • Support test data management activities, including refreshes and masking where applicable.

Continuous Improvement

  • Apply and promote best practices in test environment management.
  • Identify opportunities to improve environment stability, efficiency, and automation.
  • Collaborate closely with Agile delivery teams and DevOps pipelines.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in
    Test Environment Management
    or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of: System integrations, databases, and enterprise applications, Environment configurations, dependencies, and relationships, Cloud, on-premise, and hybrid infrastructure models
  • Advanced knowledge of: Agile delivery methodologies, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Service virtualization concepts
  • Hands-on experience with environment management platforms and tools.
