We are looking for a motivated Insurance Sales Advisor to join our team and help grow our client base across personal and commercial auto and property insurance as well as, life, and health insurance products. Our office is a professional friendly welcoming, team environment working collaboratively to foster success individually and as a group.
General Daily Responsibilities/ description of position (include but not limited to):
- Prospect, quote, and sell insurance products across multiple lines
- Conduct needs-based conversations to assess client risks and coverage needs
- Generate new business through:
- Inbound leads
- Referrals
- Community and partner relationships
- Outbounds calls and marketing to warm leads
- Prepare quotes and present coverage options clearly and confidently
- Close sales and onboard new clients
- Work collaboratively with the customer care team to ensure smooth policy setup
- Maintain accurate sales and client records
- Follow compliance and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to team sales targets and office growth goals
Qualifications:
- Sales experience (insurance, financial services, or relationship-based sales preferred)
- Strong communication skills in person as well as on the phone
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own pipeline
- Licensing (provincial insurance license) is required or willingness to obtain
- Strong ethical standards and client-first mindset
Hours / Week: 37.5 hours a week 8:30AM – 5PM
Start Date: February / March
Pay Range: Salary, Bonus/ Commission, and Benefits
These positions are with an independent contractor agent that is part of the Desjardins exclusive agent network, not with Desjardins Group or its subsidiaries. This agents' employees are not employees of Desjardins. Independent contractor agents are responsible for and make all employment decisions regarding their employees.
