We are hiring a Senior Data & Analytics Engineer to lead our data infrastructure, build high-quality pipelines, and deliver actionable insights that support key business decisions. This role combines advanced data engineering with strong analytical skills and will partner closely with cross-functional teams across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Partner cross-functionally with business stakeholders, IT, analysts, and data science teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
- Design, build, deploy, and support high-performance data pipelines for both inbound and outbound data flows across cloud environments.
- Model and enhance the data platform, applying business logic to create and maintain objects in the semantic layer to enable self-service analytics.
- Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, cost efficiency, and reliability using best-in-class engineering practices.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure automated, secure, and seamless deployment of data products and workflows.
- Ensure data quality by defining and monitoring critical data elements, developing remediation plans, and collaborating with system and business owners to resolve issues at the source.
- Document technical architecture, design decisions, data flows, and support strategies to ensure long-term maintainability and operational readiness.
- Capture, maintain, and socialize data lineage and operational metadata to improve transparency, governance, and trust in the data ecosystem.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data engineering incidents, ensuring timely root-cause analysis and permanent fixes.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to securely expose curated datasets and services to internal teams and downstream applications.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership, code reviews, and best-practice coaching.
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on evolving business and technology needs.
- Adhere to organizational policies, security standards, and compliance requirements across all development and operational activities.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 6+ years of experience designing and delivering data engineering solutions across data platforms, ingestion pipelines, data management, and analytics delivery.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services such as BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Cloud Storage (GCS), DataStream, and Dataflow.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, with the ability to write optimized, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Experience building and orchestrating workflows using Airflow/Cloud Composer, including custom operators for extraction, ingestion, and integration.
- Proven ability in query performance tuning and optimization for large-scale datasets.
- Experience with real-time data ingestion and streaming technologies such as Pub/Sub, Kafka, or Spark.
- Demonstrated success delivering incremental and production-ready data executions, including versioning and controlled rollouts.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to evaluate and address complex data challenges.
- Experience working in an agile development environment with iterative delivery and cross-functional collaboration.
