We are recruiting for a Pricing Manager to join our team in our Toronto office. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a legal or professional services organization, with at least 5 years of direct experience in client service innovation, pricing, and budgeting and will play a critical role in optimizing our pricing strategies, advancing legal project management practices, and supporting the firm's commitment to service excellence and efficiency. Our Client Service Delivery team brings market strategy and service delivery innovation under one umbrella to ensure the needs of our clients are always top of mind. Our team plays an integral role in advancing the firm's ambitious strategy at the vanguard of the legal industry. We are looking for a business-oriented, dynamic change agent to fill the role of Pricing Manager.

Salary Range (Toronto Only): $100,000-$115,000 annually 

The offered salary may vary based on the candidate's job-specific knowledge, skills, and experience.

As a Pricing Manager, you will be:

• Managing the pricing and service-delivery related aspects of pitches and proposals.
• Developing Alternative Fee Arrangements ("AFAs") and budgets for clients across all MT offices, as well as managing the process of setting and negotiating hourly rates for strategic and institutional clients.
• Developing template budget and project management tools for different matter types, and fee data analytics and other pricing tools to streamline the budgeting process for client matters.
• Developing profitability analysis of AFAs being contemplated for new client matters or monitoring profitability of AFAs already in use for existing matters, and which are being used either in relation to individual matters or for entire portfolios of work.
• Providing training and education to lawyers and staff at the Firm on pricing and legal project management strategies, approaches and tools.
• Enhancing the Firm's use of legal project management and overseeing the monitoring of matters across all offices that are being project-managed.
• Promoting various service delivery efficiency initiatives, including in relation to alternative staffing approaches, the use of technology tools for different legal processes, and the reengineering of legal services.

As our ideal candidate, you will distinguish yourself by the following profile:

• Completed post-secondary education in a related field. Advanced degree preferred (e.g. MBA; CPA; LLB/JD, etc.).
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a legal or professional services organization, with at least 5 years of experience working directly in client service innovation, pricing and budgeting.
• Ability to effectively influence and lead multiple levels of an organization, across functional boundaries.
• Solid working knowledge of Business Intelligence concepts (e.g. reporting, querying tools, spreadsheets, dashboards, and data mining).
• Strong communication skills, including prioritizing, problem-solving and interpersonal relationship building.
• Proven time management and organization skills (must be able to prioritize workload and meet deadlines).
• High level of attention to detail.
• Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to follow-up on activities without delays and to work both autonomously and on teams.
• Solid computer knowledge including the Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel. Ability to use Internet research methods, and to keep up-to-date with changes in technology.
