Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Receiver to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the shipping and receiving process, ensuring that all products are accurately processed and stored. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, inventory management, and the use of various warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the unloading and loading of shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks.
  • Accurately receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments while utilizing RF scanners.
  • Maintain an organized inventory system by stocking products in designated locations.
  • Process outgoing orders by picking, packing, and preparing items for shipment.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels and order fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations within the warehouse environment.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with maintaining accurate records in MRP systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards while operating warehouse equipment.

Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse experience is preferred, particularly in shipping & receiving roles. Two years is preferred.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce operations and order fulfillment processes is a plus.
  • Proficient in using various warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 software is advantageous.
  • Strong basic math skills for accurate inventory management and order processing.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members efficiently.
