About The Role
Our client is seeking an Intermediate Architectural Technologist to join their Vancouver studio, supporting the delivery of concrete high rise residential, mixed use, and hospitality projects. The role focuses on technical documentation, consultant coordination, and construction detailing from design development through construction. You will be an integral part of the project team, contributing to coordinated drawing sets and problem solving throughout the life of the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to technical documentation across all project phases, with a strong focus on design development and construction documents
  • Produce accurate, coordinated Revit drawings in alignment with office standards and project requirements
  • Coordinate with consultants by incorporating structural, mechanical, electrical, and envelope information into the architectural set
  • Develop and refine construction details and assemblies with guidance from senior team members
  • Participate in internal coordination meetings and consultant meetings as appropriate
  • Support construction phase activities including shop drawing reviews, RFIs, and site review documentation
  • Assist with permit and municipal submission packages, ensuring alignment with BCBC, VBBL, and local authority requirements
  • Collaborate with junior staff and contribute to a positive, team oriented studio culture

Qualifications

  • Architectural Technology diploma or equivalent education
  • Five to eight years of professional experience, with local BC project experience required
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to construction document sets for multifamily residential, mixed use, or hospitality projects
  • Strong working proficiency in Revit and BIM based workflows
  • Solid understanding of BCBC, VBBL, and local permitting processes
  • Growing experience in building envelope detailing and constructability principles
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative, detail oriented approach
  • Organized, reliable, and motivated to continue developing as a technical professional
