Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

About the role:

We're looking for a Treasury Specialist to join our growing team

As a member of the Treasury team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Intact's financing and capital allocation strategy. You will contribute to strategic initiatives that optimize returns, enhance liquidity, and reduce financial risk. Our team works closely with the senior management in producing strategic analyses that have measurable impact across the organization.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a strong team player, have the competencies to work independently in a fast-paced environment, be able to challenge the status quo and work at improving current processes.

What you'll do here:

• Support the treasury team in accessing capital markets; common share, preferred shares, debt and hybrid instruments issuances.

• Assist in managing exposure to market risk factors; foreign exchange and interest rate.

• Develop financing scenarios, support the financing process, participate in due diligence and track finance costs.

• Support in the acquisitions process by performing M&A accretion analysis and by developing different financial models.

• Contribute to updating and continuous improvement of the Treasury team's dashboards and executive presentations.

• Act as an Expert-Specialist to senior management on capital markets and treasury by conducting your own research and providing your perspective on various strategic topics.

• Support the relationship management process with credit rating agencies.

• Support the Investor Relations teams in public disclosures related to treasury items.

What you bring to the table:

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and strong financial modelling skills (Excel) – is required

• Minimum 7-years experience in a financial analysis, economic or strategy role. Treasury-related experience is an asset

• Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, or in a related field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting) or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Professional designation is an asset (CFA, CPA)

• Strong knowledge of financial markets and treasury operations, preferably within insurance/financial services.

• Solid experience and knowledge of financing and hedging instruments

• For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
