Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Specialist to support our finance team. This position will focus on the payment cycle, account reconciliations, vendor invoice processing, ensuring appropriate documentation to verify purchases, and assisting the team in maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and proficient in Excel, with a strong grasp of accounting and transactional processing.

Key Responsibilities

· Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring all supporting documentation is complete and that invoices accurately match internal records (e.g., purchase orders, receiving worksheets, import documentation).

· Prepare and execute weekly payment runs, including EFTs, wire transfers, and checks.

· Post journal entries in the accounting system with accurate classification by account.

· Reconcile bank accounts regularly, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.

· Support month-end close by preparing AP-related accruals and performing account reconciliations.

· Review treasury daily, incoming wires, slear checks daily and monitor banking transactions for unusual or potentially fraudulent activity.

· Assist in financial audits.

Qualifications

· Degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance

· 3–5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in distribution or manufacturing

· Proficiency with Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliation templates)

· Experience working with ERP systems;

· Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

· Excellent organizational and communication skills
