ResponsibilitiesThe Development Assistant (Alumni Relations Coordinator) is critical to the success of the contributions of the overall team by providing professional service and support to internal and external stakeholders such as alumni, volunteers, faculty, staff and students which directly supports and promotes alumni engagement.
QualificationsEducation:
- 2-year community college diploma
Experience:
- 2 years of administrative experience supporting senior management personnel and managing relationships with external clients, including senior executives
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to provide superior and responsive customer service to alumni (in Senior and Executive positions) in a fast-paced, professional and client centric environment
- Able to employ tact and diplomacy and possess a strong knowledge of social protocol in cultivating relationships and representing Ivey
- Possess mature judgment to identify problems and know when to refer to Director for resolution
- Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in order to meet tight deadlines and respond appropriately to last minute update and changes
- Able to work competently with exceptional accuracy in a fast-paced and highly interruptive environment
- Proven ability to successfully manage projects and events independently; strong planning and problem-solving skills
- Able to be flexible, proactive and quickly re-prioritize and react positively with short notice of changes
- Possess maturity, poise and diplomacy with the ability to build effective relations with alumni who are Senior Business leaders, staff, faculty and students
- Ability to write effectively and persuasively
- Ability to converse professionally with alumni, faculty, staff, students and service providers
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, E-mail, Internet
- Intermediate skills in website maintenance
